...Well....I gave out the website address to some one recently and I thought I might as well stop by and say Hello!...Today is November 7th,2005...whatever that means...time is such an intangible thing...we work hard to get more and then when we have all the time in the world it seems hard to get things done...today I am outside of time...cruising on the high tide of inspiration...since coming to Berkeley I have had quite an incredible experience...I have landed in a good home with good folks...one scorpio like me...and I have a studio at school which is a short bike ride away...my paintings have taken an interesting turn back into representational images and I am thoroughly enjoying the process of new discoveries...I just got home from a long day of painting and school...so that is all for now...much love to you all...<<>>...Today is August 30th...Hello. I hope you enjoy the latest work. This is merely a sampling of many paintings that range in size from 6'x8', 4'x 15', 10'x12' and many sizes on down. The new series represents the ability to explore multi-dimensional realities on an intimate, personal level. The majesty of their creation continues to inspire me as I watch the powers of the universe in their exact precision participate with me as we dance together towards some unknown end. My greatest hope is that you experience some of the energy of these excursions. In effect these paintings are like post cards from some cosmic journey, which indeed we are always on...much love to you all and thanks for your time!...OTTO...The following are streams of consciousness diary-like entries read on if you would like...~~~2.8.05...wow...walking today around the UofA campus contemplating my fate...the spiral in the paintings of the new series symbolize to me the evolution or de-evolution of the soul as it makes it's great journey from on high down into the lower worlds and back up again...always at the center is the transition from matter to spirit on the ascent and spririt to matter on the descent...i began to see a painting of a similar style only with many dots...perhaps a dotted spiral...and each dot symbolized one lifetime...all of these dots were numbered and there was a key to these numbered lives...ex.-#57-This was the lifetime when you became king of a small country...your life was spent in service of your people and your horses...you were a great warrior and you were loved by your people. The one great love of your life died giving birth to your only son...you spent the rest of your life celibate and in your mind's eye still married to your late wife...etc...and the key could actually be smaller paintings with all the different stories on them...this train of thought was born from the sense of security i often feel walking on campus...hyper aware of my surroundings, yet invisible and anonymous in the ocean of souls that swim all around...one sees the personalities worn on the sleeves of the rich, the poor, the environmentalists, the rockers...every one living out their own unique story...and yet within these two-legged mortal coils there is that spark of divinity that enlivens us all...is us in our truest nature...and the great ocean continues to flow even as this one drop doesn't yet know it's destiny in this life...the spiral continues on...up and down the traffic flows...the higher we get the more we know and knowing becomes being...and here...i am.
